You stamped with what?? card

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I’m here with my Design Team card for Shopping Our Stash Challenge #341 – You Stamped With What? OMGEEE! I had a blast with this theme! While I was at a weekend scrapbook crop, I thought and thought and thought about what I could use. I thought about inking a  crunched up piece of foil or plastic wrap as a background or inking and stamping with  the back of a stamp or fun foam or using the bottom of my coffee cup but while I was thinking, I noticed a Cricut spatula tool sitting in a friend’s crop tote! It looked interesting and reminded me of a teardrop or raindrop!!

So, I inked up the back of the tool with VersaMark ink and stamped on a piece of paper. Then I sponged on PanPastel to colorthe background! I love it! I can’t believe how great it turned out!

I used some acetate as the front of the card and added a flamingo embellishment that I made out of Shrinky Dink plastic! I used a die cut of a flamingo to cut out the plastic, colored it with my Copic markers and used my heat gun to shrink it! So much fun!!! Please join us this week and find something odd to stamp with! You will have fun for sure!

GRRRR’EAT Job card

Hello, creative stampers! Here’s my Design Team card for Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #188 – Something beginning with an “L”! This was easy because I immediately thought of “L” for Lion and have had this stamp set from The Stamps of Life for a super long time and have never used it! So, here it is! I also broke out my ink sprays to create the sky and grass! And, I used a scrap piece of watercolor paper that I had made but never used! Please join us with your card featuring something that begins with the letter “L”!

Be Mine, Valentine Skunk card

Happy Valentine’s Day (well, almost), my fellow crafters! Here is my Design Team card for Always Fun Challenges Challenge #45 – Valentine’s! Here is a little unknown fact: I hate Valentine’s Day. Seriously. I hate it. I think it is the worst “holiday” of them all and even though we’ve been married 27 years, my husband and I don’t really celebrate it. I’m not sure why I hate it but maybe because it always made me feel sad when not everyone got included at school or because sometimes I didn’t have a boyfriend at the time or because it just feels so forced. I don’t know. This is great for the hubby though because he never has to buy me anything expensive! I put a stop to that when he paid $100 for roses that horribly wilted by the next day! And, I had to put a stop to the chocolates when he bought me a box of 24 Godiva chocolates but they were these huge pieces that were all the same! I had to freeze them and it took me over a year to eat them all! So, we exchange cards and maybe go to dinner. That’s it! So, for those of you who like Valentine’s Day, here is my card and I hope you enjoy it and join us for the challenge!
