Alcohol inks on vellum background fun!

Hi there, my fellow cardmakers! Thanks for stopping by to see what I’ve been up to! I had some time last night so I played with my alcohol inks! I love how the technique looks on vellum! Super cool background! I have been hoarding some images that I colored not knowing how or when I would use them so this worked out perfectly for me! The image is from Clearly besotted and goes perfectly with the vellum background I created!

Before I played with the inks I went to some of my favorite blog challenges for inspiration! Found some! I’m linking this card up at Just Us Girls Challenge #360 Sequins, at CAS on Sunday #91 using pastel colors, at Use Your Stuff #233 color challenge and at Retro Rubber Challenge as this stamp has been in my stash for more than a year and a half before I ever colored it!

  2. Hello Cyndi: I’ve never heard of this technique of using alcohol on vellum but it looks simply gorgeous, the vellum gives the colors a very airy feel.
The beautiful yellow flower looks lovely framed and adorned with the ribbon.
Thank you for sharing with us at RETRO RUBBER, hope you join us again next time.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

  3. What a lovely card for a combination of challenges. I, too, will need to try alcohol pens on vellum… you have inspired me. Thanks so much for sharing your card with Retro Rubber this week. Hope to see you play often!
